These disputes can be between various parties and regarding various issues. When litigating a business dispute, our office’s goal is to efficiently and aggressively advocate on behalf of our client in order to both protect and enforce their legal rights.

Salehani Law Firm addresses the following business litigation matters:

  • Breach of Contract

A breach of contract occurs when a party fails to respect the terms of a valid written or oral contract. While a party’s failure to execute the terms of a given contract may be excused for a proper reason, this is not always the case. A party who has been damaged by another party’s breach of contract may be liable for a variety of damages.

  • Partnership/Shareholder/Member Disputes

Often times, a successful and smoothly operating business can be greatly disturbed by internal disputes. These disputes may be between partners, shareholders, members and managers. Typically, these disputes arise from disagreements about profit distributions, business decision making, business goals, or even external personal life challenges.

  • Breach of Fiduciary Duties

A fiduciary duty is a relationship that exists between parties wherein one party (or more parties) has a duty to act with the utmost good-faith for the benefit of the other party. Typically, officers, directors, agents, and partners owe the business and other parties within the business this duty to act with the utmost good-faith. A breach of fiduciary duty can come in many shapes and forms including: the failure to act with care and/or loyalty.

  • Business Torts

A business tort occurs when another business or person’s wrongful conduct causes financial harm to another business. Business tort examples include, interference with a legitimate business interest, theft of trade secrets, fraudulent misrepresentation, and/or commercial disparagement. These torts can potentially cause a loss of profits, loss of reputation, loss of competitive advantage, and other types of losses.

  • Debt Collection

Debtors often times fail to pay creditors, as promised. Through the legal process and negotiations, outstanding debts can be recovered. This can be accomplished though securing judgments, wage garnishments, and levies, as appropriate for the given circumstance.
